Our Vision

The Teaching and Learning Centre supports and empowers faculty to enhance the academic experience at UOIT through excellence in teaching practices and engaging learning activities.

UOIT’s unique learning environment using laptops, Blackboard and technologically-enhanced teaching methods is supported by our Teaching and Learning Centre.  We are a group of dedicated professionals who offer a wide range of services to UOIT faculty and teaching assistants.

Our Faculty Development Consultants help faculty create and manage technology-enriched and engaging classrooms, whether in-class or online.  We offer support with active learning, problem-based learning, large classes, effective questioning, making groups work, using discussion boards and more.

Our Educational Technology Support specialist can help you with the advanced technologies such as Adobe Connect, Blackboard, blogs, wikis and more.

Our team of multimedia developers take pride in producing professional quality learning objects, web pages, photographs and videos.
